Amazingly though--this snow has only been the cause of fender benders.

Melanie, yesterday Roanoke police chief M. David Hooper said his officers acted with reasonable force when they subdued and arrested Steven Leftwich early Sunday morning.
But today, Leftwich's attorney said he isn't satisfied with the internal investigation, and will ask the Virginia and U.S Attorneys- General to investigate.

((Steven Leftwich and his cousin William Hayden attended the news conference this morning, but they let their attorney, Harold Barnes of Norfolk, do the talking.
When police pulled them over on Campbell Avenue early sunday morning, what should have been a routine traffic stop turned into a violent confrontation.
Barnes says his client was hit with a flashlight, repeatedly kicked and punched.
Even if he did do something wrong Barnes said, it was a beating Leftwich didn't deserve.

Barnes says he will ask the state attorney general's office and the U.S. Justice Department to investigate.
He wants a special prosecutor appointed to look into the complaints... and he believes the charges pending against leftwich should be suspended until the investigations are complete.

Investigators still haven't determined the cause of a fatal house fire in New Castle last month.
But the case is now closed.
Five- year- old Christopher Howard and his 3- year- old sister, Harle
(HAR-lee) Howard locked themselves in a closet when the blaze started.


They died of smoke inhalation, despite rescue attempts by family and neighbors.

Last Friday an I-R-A bomb in London killed two people and injured 100.

NATO forces today are conducting a major manhunt in central Bosnia, searching for anyone who escaped from a terrorist training camp.
Peacekeeping troops seized the camp yesterday and detained six Bosnians and three men presumed to be Iranian.
They also found an arsenal that ranged from sniper rifles and grenades, to children's toys rigged as bombs.
NATO says there's no question the camp is tied to the Muslim-led Bosnian government.
