A companion says she saw the girl jump, but the search was called on

A judge has certified charges of murder, abduction, carjacking, robbery and
firearms violations against three men accused in the murder of a Virginia Tech

today to recreate the scene for police.
The missing girl's name has not been released.
The search will resume Wednesday morning.
A Continental D-C--nine landed on its belly, skidding off the runway and onto
a grassy area, at Houston's Intercontinental Airport this morning.
The landing gear of the jet apparently collapsed; investigators are trying
to determine what went wrong.
A Continental spokesperson said none of the 82 passengers or five crew
members was hurt.
The flight originated at Washington National Airport.

Police in Australia have charged a devil worshiper with arson- -for setting
fire to Sydney's Roman Catholic cathedral.
Twenty-one -year-old Jason Humphries was arrested while watching the blaze.
Police say Humphries told detectives he set fire to the sandstone and
wooden church as an act of revenge against his mother-in-law. HE said she had
introduced him to black magic.
The fire caused about five million dollars damage.
The cathedral was built in 1935 on the site of the first Catholic Mass
celebrated in Australia in 1803.
Scotland Yard arrested two people today on terrorism charges.
The British police aren't saying if the arrests are connected to
a bomb blast last night on a London bus.
One person died, and investigators say that person may have been carrying
the bomb, and that it may have gone off prematurely.
Police also say they found a weapon in the wreckage of the bus, but they
give no details.

The defense for Daniel Green began building its case today in Lumberton,

the existing ones think they've had problems meeting the demand.
The new Round- Up steakhouse is coming to Valley View Mall, and another
Golden Corral is on the way to Towne Square Mall.
Texas Steakhouse opened here about four years ago-- one of 13 restaurants
in the local chain.
Its manager says he doesn't think there's been a resurgence of red meat--
just a concept change.
