An explosion crumbled a two-story brick building, destroying three businesses and nearly claiming the new town municipal building.
The building was unoccupied early yesterday, and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the explosion is unknown.

Investigators have said there was evidence that emergency doors and windows didn't work.

A 16-year-old girl is dead following an accident in Augusta County last night.
Angela Marie Karr of Craigsville was a passenger in a car traveling southbound on route 42 in Augusta Springs.
Police say the car went out of control, crossed into the northbound lane and was struck by oncoming traffic.
