It turns out the 14 year- old girl divers spent two days searching for was
never even seen in the New river.
Giles County investigator Willie Lucas said today he has now determined the
girl did NOT jump off Commissary Hill bridge, as her 16 year- old friend
reported Sunday.
Investigators got a call yesterday that the girl was safe and sound.
News- 7 has confirmed she is in a hospital undergoing psychiatric treatment.
Lucas would not say why the girls pulled the hoax, only that it's a bizarre
situation.
Lucas plans to consult with the Commonwealth's Attorney about possible
charges against the pair.
News- 7 is not releasing the names of the girls because of their age.

an upstairs bedroom.
