More than 500 Virginia high school seniors may not receive diplomas this spring because they failed the Literacy Passport tests, which measure sixth-grade level skills.
This month is their last chance to pass before graduation.
Some of the students have learning disabilities, and some are foreign-born students who have trouble with English.
