Christopher Saul was in court for his preliminary hearing -- along with the
friend who turned him in for the New Year's day killing.

Keith Humphry was there, too.
And he's in the NEWS 7 Newsroom now with the story of the buddy turned
Jean this is the man who made the case for police against Christopher James
-provided all the information to back up the warrant they got to search Saul's
Christopher Martin testified that Saul had been without a car, while his
was in the shop.
But New Year's night Saul called and said some guy had picked him up on the
side of the road... and that now he had a car.

Martin says Saul showed up with Christopher Wilson's wallet-- including his
driver's license, checks, cash and an A-T-M card they tried using to get more
Martin also testified that Saul still had the club or "stick" that he says
Saul told him he struck Wilson with at the Roanoke County body shop.

Under cross examination, Martin said he came right out and asked Saul if
he'd killed Wilson, but didn't get an answer.
Any indication Wilson knew the man accused of killing him?
Nope. Ya know what's weird though, Jean?
Not only do the suspect and the victim share the same first name, Saul's
friend- -who became the informant in this case- -you probably noticed, is also
named Christopher. Go figure, huh?

Another F-14 Navy fighter jet crashed- the third in less than one month.
Today's jet went down in the Perisan Gulf- It's pilot and radar officer
But today's incident is prompting a sweeping safety examination-

In two other recent crashes four Navy officers and three civilians died.

Two workers in the area found the remains of John Horsley below the dam.

Employees who showed up for work were simply told to go home.
The Kentucky-based chain says it's closing the Valley View Mall location
because of poor sales.

The average Chi-Chi's restaurant has about 60 to 80 full and part time

The Coast Guard has been called to investigate what caused a dining and
sightseeing vessel at Claytor Lake to sink.
The Pioneer Maid is operated by the New River Cruise Company.
Owner Howard Barrett said it was fine last night.
But by this morning, its main deck and hull, and even part of the upper deck
were under water.
Barrett hopes the problem is as simple as a broken hose, and the boat may be
ready for the start of the tourist season May first.

BRCA gene for breast cancer, and another study looking at the possibility of
the drug Tamoxifen preventing breast cancer.
In other issues, when it comes to treating breast cancer patients, and
advising them about their medical and surgical options, he says the final
choice must always remain with the woman.

A new study finds that about two million people are drinking
water containing high levels of nitrate that violate federal standards.
The Environmental Working Group says water is especially dangerous to
infants, as nitrates can deprive them of oxygen, resulting in the
potentially-fatal condition, "blue-baby syndrome."
Nitrate contamination of water comes from widespread use of fertilizer, the
group hopes to work with farmers to reduce fertilizer use.
The Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies takes issue with
the report, claiming it exaggerates the danger.
