Blacksburg police are investigating a double shooting at Fairfax Point townhouses.
It happened just aroud four this afternoon.

Two guns were also found at the scene.
The victims are identified only as a male and a female.
Neighbors reported hearing several gunshots and called police.
Police are not releasing any other details.

Lt. Kimmy Nester's concerns have been put to rest.
Within an hour of our interview, authorities received the tip they'd been waiting for.
Based on an anonymous call, they went to a home on Route 610 in the community of Axton.
It was there they spotted Carter's vehicle and made the arrest.
Carter is charged with killing 19- year old Sherell Hairston and her 25- year old boyfriend, Darrell Womack.
Their bodies were found by a passerby early Tuesday morning-- outside an abandoned store in the Sandy River Community of Pittsylvania County.
For family members, the past three days have been overwhelming.

That's right. On Sunday, Carter met with a Deputy to report an armed robbery. In that case, Carter told police he was the victim. But authorities, now, apparently aren't buying his story. We'll have more on that at six.

Bedford County authorities made an arrest in the murder of a Gretna man found dumped along a roadside yesterday.
38 year old Randall E. Faris is being held without bond for the murder of 36 year old Bobby Anthony Carter.
