Authorities say 29- year- old Deanna Kidd and her boyfriend, 26- year- old Robert Evans, had been arguing earlier in the day.

And police are still investigating the DEATH of a man whose body was found DUMPED alongside a Bedford County road yesterday.
Pittsylvania County authorities had received a tip that a man had been SHOT to death and LEFT in Bedford County.
Game Warden Steve Pike located the body yesterday off Route 608, about six miles from the Pittsylvania line.
The victim is 36- year -old Bobby Anthony Carter of Gretna.
Police have NOT determined the cause of death.
An autopsy is scheduled today.

A Blacksburg family is homeless after watching their mobile home go up in smoke yesterday.
Alice Rose and her two children were in the back of the trailer on South Main Street when she smelled smoke coming from the kitchen.
She was able to lead her family to safety.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire but not before the trailer was destroyed.
Family members say the Roses were not insured.

Police are investigating the death of a Bedford County woman RUN OVER by her boyfriend's TRUCK last night.

It happened in the parking lot of the Graves Mill Shopping Center on Route 2-21 in Forest.
Authorities say 29- year- old Deanna Kidd and her boyfriend, 26- year- old Robert Evans, had been arguing earlier in the day.
Evans told police he was driving his rollback truck through the shopping center when Kidd jumped on the back.
He said he removed her, but she apparently jumped again and slipped under a rear wheel.
Kidd was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses apparently corroborated Evans' version of the accident, and he has NOT been charged in connection with her death.

In other news from Bedford County -- An autopsy is scheduled today on the body of a man found DUMPED alongside a county road yesterday.
Pittsylvania County authorities had received a tip that a man had been SHOT to death and LEFT in Bedford County.
Game Warden Steve Pike located the body yesterday off Route 608, about six miles from the Pittsylvania line.
The victim is 36- year -old Bobby Anthony Carter of Gretna.
Police have NOT determined the cause of death.

Authorities issued a capital murder warrant for 24- year- old Mark Anthony Carter of Axton.
He's is wanted for questioning in the murders of 19- year- old Sydney Hairston of Martinsville and 25 year old Darrell Womack of Axton.
Womack and Hairston were found shot to death outside an abandoned store on Route 8-41.
