Police are on the scene of a two car accident at the intersection of
Interstate 5-81 and Colonial Avenue.

Salem police are looking for a suspect who injured two employees and made
away with some cash.

(( In a country with a long and bloody history of terror this was one of the
deadliest days ever.
In Jerusalem a Palestinian suicide bomber blew a packed bus to pieces.
The dead and injured were strewn among the debris in one of the city's
busiest intersections.
While the bomb squad combed the wreckage for clues holy men of the burial
society collected bodies in a makeshift morgue and combed the streets for
human remains.
Less then an hour after the Jeruslaem attack a second bomb went off in the
coastal city of Ashkelon... many of the victims here were soldiers returning
from weekend leave.
The Palestinian extremist group Hamas has claimed credit for the death and
destruction, as revenge for the killing of a Hamas master bomb maker in
January.
Also shattered in the blasts were hopes that Palestinian President Yassir
Arafat would be able to control the extremists in his midst.
The election hopes of Arafat's peace partner, Prime Minister Shimon Peres
have taken a blow as well..
He was booed by the crowd when he came to inspect the Jerusalem carnage.

The New River Cruise Company operates the vessel.
Owner Howard Barrett says a salvage crew will arrive Wednesday to get the
boat out of the water so it can be repaired.
And as long as the damage isn't extensive, Barrett says he hopes to have the

Roanoke Electric Steel's profits keep rolling in.
At its annual meeting the steel company says in the first quarter they rose
three-percent compared to a year ago.
A major score for Roanoke County this week: R-R Donnelley unveiled plans to
build a multi-million-dollar book manufacturing plant that will initially
create 175 jobs.
The Fortune 500 company already has a magazine plant in Lynchburg that
employs 750 people.
But land to lure any more prospects may be hard to come by in Roanoke
County.
200 residents packed a meeting Wednesday, voicing their opposition to
opening more development sites in the western part of the county.
The New River Valley is on the verge of a blockbuster deal, this one with
the world-famous Grucci Fireworks company of New York.
Both Grucci and the Radford Arsenal confirm they're exploring the
possibility of moving a portion of the fireworks facility to southwest
Virginia.
And union workers at Bell Atlantic approved a new contract by a six-to-one
margin.
The Communications Workers of America had been at odds with the Baby Bell
since last summer.
Checking the Dow Jones Industrial Average for the week, it rose 127-points,
closing at 5630-point-49.

Ellen Qualls, about debate over a bill to make English Virginia's official
language.
A viewer from Vinton thinks that idea is less than "wunderbar".
"I feel like that there are many other issues occurring in Virginia that
require the attention of the House of Delegates more than the issue of whether
or not English will be our official language. As a college student and a
student of foreign languages, I think it is wonderful for people to learn
another language, maybe even three or four languages, but I do not think that
the issue requires the heated debate it seemed to be getting from the delegates
shown on the newcast.
In short, I think that the delegates need to start making decisions on the
issues that they campaigned so fervently for and what we elected them for, not
whether or not the state's native language will become Spanish, French, German
or Italian."

As the field chased pole sitter Terry Labonte Dale Earnhardt was on the
move. He started 18-th but he passed Jeff Gordon to moved to the second spot
60 laps into the race.
But no one could catch Labonte he had the strongest car on the track and
was still the leader after 87 laps of the race.
South Boston's Ward Burton got tapped into the rear he loses it and hits
the wall bringing out the caution on lap 97.
Then Jimmy Spencer passed Labonte showing his power to take the lead of
the race on lap 137.
On lap 172 a couple of cars crashed Loy Allen hitting the wall at pit
road hard after he lost his breaks.
The race was Red flagged while the track crew cut Allen out of the damaged
car. Allen was taken to the infield car center and transferred to a local
hospital.
For the second week in a row Labonte picked up some trash off the track
and it cost him an engine and the race.
Earnhardt picked up points for leading the race but he bumps Bobby
Hamilton in the rear he hits the wall and Earnhardt moved back to the front.
Earnhardt was strong at the end and after a crash on lap 390 Earnhardt
wins the Goodwrench 400 under caution.
