In the wake of a separate shooting incident, employees at Montgomery County Social Services are mourning the deaths of two co-workers.

The victims were killed in a double murder, suicide in Blacksburg Friday.
Donald G. Anderson, who worked in employment services was shot four times.
His friend Susan Asbury, who resigned from Social Services last year, was also killed.
And her estranged husband, Robert L. Asbury shot himself in the head.
All three bodies were found in Susan Asbury's Fairfax Point townhouse.

It looks like Blue Ridge Hunt Club co-founder Bill Stump will get off easier than expected as he faces sentencing for a federal firearms charge.
The judge in the case plans to give Stump less that what the sentincing guilelines call for.

The judge concluded "Stump committed his crimes by using silenced weapons for a sporting purpose." That is: "target practice."

Donald Irvan used a copier at the Central Virginia Training Center, when he worked there as a police officer, to make posters for his losing campaign last year.
Yesterday an Amherst Circuit judge yesterday ordered Irvan to pay a 100-dollar fine after Irvan pleaded guilty to destruction of property as part of a plea agreement.
Earlier, a General District Court judge sentenced Irvan to 60 days in jail, with 50 suspended, and a 100-dollar fine on theft charges.

In Franklin County, authorities say a child accidently shot his mother last night.

It happened at this trailer home on route 7-6-0 in the Henry community around 8- 15.
Investigators say the boy's parents were living together-- but had recently separated.
The boy's father, Lowell Rector, who lives in the trailer was talking with the mother, Belinda Sink outside a truck.
Authorities say the five year old boy was inside the truck with a loaded 22- caliber rifle, when it went off.

A medical examiner says it was a mixture of smoke, carbon monoxide and alcohol that led to the weekend death of a Radford University student.

21- year- old Christopher Thomas Mirch died early Saturday morning when fire broke out at the Delta Tau Chi (TAU- KIE) fraternity house on Grove Avenue.
His body was found in an upstairs bedroom.
Investigators still do not know what started the blaze.
Mirch's blood alcohol level was more than two and a half times the legal limit.
