It started last night in Bedford County, and ended with a car crash in
Roanoke.

Authorities say 22- year- old Sean Michael Love was wanted for attempted

Road.
Love struck another vehicle-- but the driver escaped with minor injuries.

unidentified woman riding along with him.
In addition to the attempted murder charge in Prince George County-- Love

Meanwhile Shawn Love was arraigned in Roanoke this morning and is being held
without bond.

convicted on all the charges against him... he could be looking at decades
behind bars.

The 22- year- old was brought into court in a wheelchair and you could
clearly see cuts on his face.
All of those injuries were sustained during the wreck.
Here in Roanoke, Love faces a total of three charges-- two misdemeanors and
a felony.
The felony is ATTEMPTED malicious wounding.
The lesser charges are reckless driving and failure to stop for a police
car.
Love will be tried on those misdemeanors May thirteenth.
That same day he'll also have a preliminary hearing on the attempted
malicious wounding charge.

He's accused of attempted murder in Prince George County.

Apparently a Bedford County Deputy stopped to get a bite at McDonalds when
the A- P- B went out.
Just about a minute or two later, Love entered the drive- through of that
very same McDonalds.

this hour in the Christy Brzonkala case.
Among the motions being argued before Judge Jackson Kiser, is one by
Virginia Tech to dismiss the sex discrimination lawsuit filed by Brzonkala.

of robbery and abduction.
83- year- old Vernon Laughon (lawn) was fonud in the trunk of his Oldsmobile
November 18th.
He had been in the trunk for two days and two nights.
The court will consider the victim impact statement when determining
sentencing.

15th.
It took place in former chairman Mark Munsey's office, rather than the
regular board room. It was called a work session, but members admittedly
discussed the county administrator and agreed then to ask for his resignation.
Branson has asked Munsey for the minutes of that meeting.
Chairman Charles Dix says none were taken, but Munsey told Branson he would
raise the issue at this board meeting.
Munsey tried to convene an executive session for that purpose, to discuss
the matter behind closed doors.
