Along with this milestone today, another bridge was crossed in the Senate on the abortion issue.
A bill outlawing feticide -- the pre-meditated killing of a fetus outside of abortion -- also passed the Senate on a 26- 13 vote.
That recognizes a fetus as a person in the criminal part of the law.

This week, the General Assembly's House Majority Leader Dick Cranwell introduced a bill that WOULD define carpal tunnel syndrome and hearing loss as diseases covered by workers comp benefits.
