That's a surprise, because a majority of the Delegates are in favor of parental notification.

Halifax County authorities have arrested a suspect in Wednesday's fatal shooting near Turbeville (TURB-UH-VUL).

Two Floyd County High School students may face felony charges after setting off a bomb in one of the school's restrooms.

The 14 and 15 year old students were suspended for 10 days following Tuesday's blast inside a boys locker room toilet.
Principal Norman Blanchard is downplaying the incident.
He characterized it as a typical prank, and said the device amounted to little more than a firecracker.
But the blast was enough to send debris flying, and Floyd County Commonwealth's Attorney Gino Williams expects to charge the students with manufacturing an explosive device.

It happened yesterday. Susan Swanson drove her 19-68 Ford Galaxy through a large glass window at the Williamson Road Thrift Store.
The store manager said the shop will not close, but joked that business would pick- up now that it had a drive through.
No one was hurt and police are still considering charges.

The Virginia Lottery has created a new game --
Lottery players will have another chance to try their luck beginning Sunday with Kicker, a game that uses a six-digit number printed at the bottom of Lotto tickets.
The game offers prizes ranging from 100-thousand dollars down to a free play for matching numbers in sequential order.
It will cost one dollar.
The first Kicker drawing will be held Wednesday.

It came as a shocker because a majority of the Delegates are in favor of parental notification.
