Several people had to be forcibly removed from the courtroom.
One was charged with assaulting a sheriff's deputy.

Two videotapes seized by Halifax County authorities have provided valuable insight into a sport that takes a toll on "man's best friend".
The tapes were discovered late last month when authorities arrested two New York men for animal cruelty.

In 1921, Hollywood came to Highland County.
That was the year Christiansburg native and silent film director Henry King brought his work home to the Commonwealth.
Now 75 years later, residents of Blue Grass remember their time in the limelight.
Ron Jones reports.

(( Henry King, a Christiansburg native, was a pioneering movie director in Hollywood during the 1920's.
One of his coveted treasures was "Tol'able David"... a silent film shot in Highland County.
It's the story of David Kinemon, played by Richard Barthelmess, who took on three bad guys after they terrorized his family.
Some of it was shot on the Rexrode family farm.
However, there have been a few changes since the film... a lot of the buildings are gone. STAND UP
