About TWO thousand people gathered to parade down the streets of the city.
Organizers say it is a march symbolizing unity of all people and hope for a

The Civil Air Patrol today re-opened the search for a missing plane flown by
a Lynchburg man.
But their search was unsuccessful.

31- year- old Colin Campbell, was working for an Oregon- based construction

In Florida police say a Canadian teenaged tourist was shot to death during
an attempted robbery at Daytona Beach.

Officials say Mark Fyke of Belleville, Ontario, was shot in the
back of the head while talking to his mother from a pay phone near a beach
where an estimated 300-thousand young people gather for spring break.
They say Fyke was with a friend when a group of five youths approached them

The jury in the John Salvi trial has adjourned for the day without deciding
whether he is guilty of murdering two Boston-area abortion clinic
The panel received the case yesterday.
Salvi is charged with killing the two women in Brookline, Massachusetts, in
The jury will be sequestered until it reaches a decision on whether Salvi is
guilty of first-degree murder OR innocent by reason of insanity.
Jury deliberations are expected to resume on Monday.
Salvi was arrested in Norfolk on New Year's Day last year after he
allegedly opened fire on a clinic there.

More than a dozen people are facing charges after Bedford County authorities
wrapped up separate drug investigations this week.
After a seven-month investigation, seven people were arrested for
distribution of cocaine in the city of Bedford.
All were indicted by a grand jury earlier this month.
Seven others were picked up late Thursday night in the Body Camp area of
Bedford County on charges ranging from possession of cocaine to being drunk in
Those arrests stemmed from numerous citizen complaints about criminal
activity in their neighborhood.
Wild horses running the open ranges of the west are part of the romance
surrounding American history.
But today many wild horses are starving.
So to ease overpopulation the federal government takes many of the horses
across the country in search of a good home.
