A bill changing the way the court system handles juveniles is now in the
hands of Governor George Allen.
The bill came from two commissions-- one appointed by the governor, the
other by the Democrat-controlled Assembly.
Lawmakers melded the two reports together.
If Governor Allen signs the bill, children 14 and older will automatically
be tried as adults when charged with murder.
For other violent offenses such as robbery and sex crimes, the
Commonwealth's Attorney will determine how the juvenile will be tried.

stalking women in Virginia after the case was profiled on national T-V over the
weekend.
State police spokeswoman Lucy Caldwell says a 30-second segment on
"America's Most Wanted" Saturday prompted calls to the show's 800 number and to
Virginia authorities.

Reynolds and the suspect in her
apparent abduction.
