A fire late last night at a North Carolina nursing home has left eight people dead and at least two hospitalized.
Officials say the blaze broke out in the men's wing of the complex in Laurinburg, a community near the South Carolina border.
Fifty- two people lived at the nursing home, they've been moved to other locations.
There is no word yet on what caused the fire.

Dunblane, Scotland, begins a grim week of funerals today, for the 16 schoolchildren and their teacher slain by a gunman who burst into a school gymnasium.
The first of the funerals begins this hour for a five- year- old girl and boy who were best friends.
The youngsters will be buried together.

A twin engine plane crashed this morning on Interstate 81 at the Wythe County -Smyth County line.
One person -- the pilot -- was killed.
James Preston Harris of Saltville was the manager of the airport in Smyth County, he apparently crashed in dense fog.

There is no word yet on what caused a deadly fire last night at a North Carolina nursing home.
Officials say eight people were killed and at least two others injured.
The fire, in the community of Laurinburg, caused a tremendous amount of smoke damage and forced the evacuation of some 50 residents.
