45 year old Kathleen Weinstein was abducted in her own car from a

A 17 year old is charged with smothering Weinstein to death in the woods.
Police say he pulled Weinstein from her Toyota Camry because he liked her
A powerful earthquake has rocked a Northwest region of China.
Officials say at least 24 people were killed and 50 more injured as homes
collapsed in the quake that measured six-point-nine on the Richter Scale.
The epicenter is located two thousand miles west of Beijing.

A 24 year old Danville woman is arrested a little more than an hour after
she allegedly robbed a local bank.
Police say the robber took about 900 dollars from the American National Bank
on West Main Street.
They say the suspect was NOT wearing a disguise.

A Good Samaritan helped rescue a family from their burning home today.
The house on Route 43- -eight miles south of Bedford- -caught fire around
one o'clock this afternoon.
A neighbor driving down the road spotted the blaze-- and stopped to help

Faced with the daunting task of overhauling its sewer system, Lynchburg is
hoping its citizens will help out.
For years, Lynchburg has allowed overflow rainwater to mix with raw sewage
and be dumped into nearby streams.
Now that federal rules prohibit that, the city needs to reduce the amount of
rainwater going into its sewer system.
That means thousands of homes whose raingutters lead directly into the sewer
