A Christiansburg woman was shot to death this morning, and police have her ex-husband in custody.
It happened about an hour ago at 109 Evans Street in Christiansburg.
Police say the suspect fired shots at police, but no officers were injured.
No other details are available, and they are not releasing any names at this point.

A-B-C agents raided a still last night off Route 7-5-2 in the Truevine section of Franklin County.
Authorities say there were eight-- 800- gallon stills, about 400 gallons in the barn when it was raided.
Authorities arrested Harry Cousins of Pittsylvania County and Douglas Tyler of Rocky Mount on charges of manufacturing without a license.
Both were later released on bond.

A Prince George County grand jury yesterday indicted 22-year-old Shawn Love on a charge of murdering Sayonara Mc-Laughlin.
Mc-Laughlin was shot three times on March fifth in her home.
The 21-year-old woman died five days later.

Love was arrested in Roanoke March fifth on the same day as the shooting after wrecking his car during a high speed chase.

Judge Paul Whitehead refused to set bond for Ochoa, believing he might flee to his native Mexico if released.
Ochoa, who doesn't speak English, had to rely on an interpreter for the hearing.
Both sides say the language problems have slowed the legal process.

Police say a Christiansburg man fired shots at two officers this morning after allegedly killing his ex-wife.

The suspect allegedly shot his wife in the chest at the front door.
Authorities say the officers were NOT hurt.
Three children were home at the time, they also were NOT injured.

A man from Dryden was killed in a one vehicle accident last night in Big Stone Gap.
State police say 42-year-old Frank Spencer Stacy was driving a pickup truck along Route 23 when it ran off the road and overturned.
And a Wytheville man has died from injuries he sustained in a crash on Monday.
31-year-old James Richard Rowe Junior was a passenger in a car involved in a head on collision in Wythe County.
State police say Rowe's vehicle was struck by another car traveling on the wrong side of the road.
Charges are pending in that accident.

Danville police have arrested a 24-year old woman for allegedly holding up a bank yesterday.

Police say she took about 900 dollars from the American National Bank on West Main Street.
About 15- minutes after the bank was robbed an officer noticed what appeared to be the suspect's car parked outside a motel.
Tina Louise Frye was arrested after she emerged from a wooded area nearby.
She's being held in the Danville jail.
