Authorities say there were eight-- 800- gallon stills, and about 400

of Rocky Mount on charges of manufacturing without a license.
Both were later released on bond.

after railroad investigators determined their train derailed because the
engineer did not correctly operate the train's brakes.
The train derailed January seventh in Montgomery County.

A Dryden man is dead following an accident near Big Stone Gap last night.
State police say 42-year-old Frank Spencer Stacy was driving a pickup truck
along Route 23 when it ran off the road and overturned.
Police don't now why Stacy ran off the road.
Also -- a Wytheville man died of injuries he sustained in a crash on Monday.
31-year-old James Richard Rowe Junior was a passenger in a car involved in a
head on collision in Wythe County.
State police say Rowe's vehicle was struck by another car traveling on the
wrong side of the road. Charges are pending in that accident.
