It was a security drill, but now four nurses who say they were traumatized

Roanoke firefighters were feeling the heat this morning when they had to
battle two blazes within an hour of each other.

The cause of both fires appears to be electrical in nature.
The fire marshal's office adds that in both cases smoke detectors saved the
lives of the people who lived in the buildings.
The first fire started around four-o'clock on Rorer Avenue and left the

One unit suffered major smoke and water damage.
No one was injured in either fire.

How the Express does in it's final two games of the regular season;
determines if Charlotte or Richmond will be Roanoke's first round opponent in
the ECHL playoffs.
The post season schedule was released yesterday and the Express WILL NOT
have a home play off game at all next week.
Their first home post season appearance on the ice will be on Tuesday April
2nd at 7pm against either Richmond or Charlotte.
