Former Virginia Spine Center Surgeon Dr. Eric Korsh took the stand today in the first of many medical malpractice suits filed against him and his former employer, Lewis- Gale Clinic.

Brunson says Dr. Korsh told him spine fusion surgery was necessary or else he faced paralysis.
Three years after the surgery Brunson now says he can't work on his farm and is in constant pain.
Still, Korsh maintains bone fusion with pedicel screws was the right procedure for Brunson.

Medical Personnel administered CPR to the 53 year old New York native before taking him to University of Cincinnati hospital.
Doctors pronounced him dead 55 minutes after the collapse.
McSherry, who weighed 330 pounds has had medical problems for the past several years.
Doctors believe he died of a massive heart attack.
