Here are the final results: With all 32 precincts reporting, there were 9- thousand 334 "no" votes, and 7-thousand 94 "yes" votes.
The only districts to support the referendum were Windsor Hills and Cave Spring.

In Catawba the referendum is overwhelmingly rejected, 2-thousand 582 "no" to 408 "yes."
The same is true in Hollins: 2-thousand 230 "no" and 574 "yes."
The referendum is supported in Windsor Hills, 2-thousand 902 "yes" votes and 1-thousand 649 "no."
The measure was defeated in Vinton. The tally 1-thousand 431 "no" and 517 "yes."
In Cave Spring, the site for the proposed school, the vote was 2-thousand 693 "yes" and 1-thousand 442 "no."
