Mid-way through a flight from Greenville, South Carolina to Leesburg, the small "home-built" aircraft crashed in a grove of trees in Franklin County.
Charles and Estelle Diseker apparently died as the two-seater plane hit the ground.
It took F-A-A investigators several hours and the help of a front-end loader to dig the nose of the plane out of the dirt.

Workers from the Cave Spring Kroger organized their fifth annual golf tournament for the March of Dimes, which helps fund the treatment and prevention of birth defects.
Last year the tournament raised over 12 thousand dollars.
