House Democrats promise to take the Governor to court over what they see as the misuse of his line item veto powers -- like, can he veto language about Goals 2000 or just money items?
The Governor promises to take the legislature to court over the budget that runs through June 30th.

That's what a News-7/Roanoke Times poll shows... Warner leading among likely Republican voters in the June primary...but not by much.

If the vote were held today, the survey says Warner would poll less than 50 percent of the vote, but still beat challenger Jim Miller.
Seventeen percent of the voters surveyed said they hadn't made up their minds yet.
But among GOP voters, just 39 percent have a favorable opinion of Virginia's senior senator; and 25 percent have an UNfavorable view.
John Warner is maintaining a comfortable lead over his likely Democratic opponent, Mark Warner, 56 percent to 24 percent.

Strager was a defensive coordinator at Virginia Tech from 1987 to 1991. He coached the defense at Concord College in 1992.
The Rush was 9 and 5 and lost in the first round of the playoffs last year.
Strager plans to build on what the team had last year plus make a bigger effort to attract players from the area.
