the Governor is doing an excellent or good job.
That's his highest score ever in one of our polls.

And that bunch's approval rating actually jumped seven points over last
year.
Suffolk Republican Robert Nelms apparently did a good job of making the
public aware of a law that protects legislators from arrest during the session.
Nelms used it to get an indecent exposure charge dismissed lat week.
Should lawmakers be immune from such arrests?
No according to 73- percent of those polled.
14 percent say the law's okay.
Less arresting for the public has been the Governor's lonely fight against
federal Goals 2000 money.
Allen says it will mean too much federal control.
Leading Democrats say the state should accept the almost seven million
dollars it's due.
We asked you.
49- percent say yes -- the state should accept the money.
28- percent say no -- the Governor's right.
And a significant 23- percent say they still don't know.
