A family of three is dead after being caught in the middle of a high speed police chase through Roanoke County.

(( The chase ended here, at the intersection of Plantation and Williamson Road.
Police were apparently chasing the driver of this blue car, 21 year old Scott Carlton Allman of Roanoke.
Witnesses say Allman ran a red light, then broad sided this black Monte Carlo.
Lori Mason of Vinton was thrown from the Monte Carlo and died at the scene.
Thomas Faucher,Jr, was also killed.
Six week old Joleen Faucher was also thrown from the car.
Police say the chase began in the 5000 block of Franklin Road.
It then continued to Hershberger Road and on to Plantation.
Witnesses say the speeds during the chase exceeded 80 miles per hour.

The end result of the chase was a four car collision.
Life Guard 10 was called in to transport a passenger out of the suspect's car to Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Her condition is not being released.

Six- week- old Joleen Faucher died late last night at Community Hospital.
Police say Allman hit a vehicle on Hershberger Road prior to the fatal accident.
The driver of that car was apparently uninjured.
Allman is being charged with attempting to elude police, hit and run, and driving on a suspended license.
Additional charges are pending.
The father of Thomas Faucher tells News 7 he will speak to his lawyer concerning the accident and plans to take legal action against the police.

The marble statue, erected in memory of all survivors and victims of child abuse, was unveiled yesterday at Highland Burial Park.
Ann Worley, herself a survivor of abuse, began her crusade after hearing about the deaths of Michael and Alex Smith of South Carolina.
The two young boys were killed when their mother drove her car into a lake.
More than a hundred residents and local dignitaries were on hand to witness the unveiling.
Speakers, including Worley, encouraged the community to do what it can to prevent abuse.

To keep up with increasing enrollment, the Catholic school is expanding.
Plans include building a new gym and eight new classrooms.
The current facility was built in 1966 and has already expanded twice.
Construction on the new addition is expected to be complete by the year 2- thousand one.
