After an eight day search the body of former C-I-A Director William Colby

Colby's body washed up not far from his Maryland vacation home.

His canoe was found capsized the next day on a sandbar.

He also headed the CIA's Saigon office during the Vietnam war.

William Colby was 76.
A grand jury in Richmond says there IS enough evidence to try a state
lawmaker for indecent exposure in a Richmond park.
Suffolk Delegate Robert Nelms accused police and the media of conducting a
witch hunt against him.
Nelms says he was just urinating in public -- which is also a crime.
But a city police officer told a grand jury today that he witnessed activity
that warranted the indecent exposure charge.
The grand jury decision today means Nelms can be re-arrested for the charge.
He pleaded legislative immunity to get the charge dropped earlier.
Senator John Warner says fellow G-O-P challenger Jim Miller broke federal
Warner campaign manager John (HISH-ta) Hishta filed a complaint with the
Federal Election Commission today and outlined it in a news conference.
He says the Commonwealth PAC that Miller founded to help Republican General
Assembly candidates in 1995 is mostly financing Miller's Senate campaign.

Federal election laws are much stricter than Virginia's -- and much of the
Commonwealth PAC contributions could NOT legally be used in a Senate race.
The Miller campaign responds that Miller's expenses the PAC paid for were to
promote the Republican agenda and advise statewide candidates.
The Republican Senate primary is June 11th.
Bob Dole endorsed John Warner Saturday.
The N-R-A is expected to endorse Miller this week.
A four year- old girl who was rescued from a pond yesterday after more than
an hour under water has died.
Jaimee Lynn Dieahm of Christiansburg fell into a pond where she'd been
playing with several older children.
Authorities say the other kids try to use a stick to pull her out, but she
wasn't able to hold on.
Two Christiansburg police officers dove into the water.
Rescuers revived the child after Sergeant Hank Epperly located her and
pulled her out.
She spent the night on life support and died this morning.
Police say a train that struck and killed a Halifax County man had just left
a nearby power plant.
The accident happened around 8:15 last night in the town of Clover.
Authorities say 52- year old Jimmy Guthrie was sitting on the tracks and
apparently did not hear the train.
Police and Norfolk Southern officials were at the site investigating this
The train, which was carrying empty cars, was travelling West at about 20-
miles an hour.
Guthrie died later at the hospital.
Wildfires are burning out of control in New Mexico-

From the air it's hard to believe this fire is less than one day old.
It began quietly in a local backyard when a trash fire got out of control.
Wind and tinder-dry forest turned the small fire into a blazing inferno.
The fire is moving about nine miles an hour- so fast it barely gave folks
time to save some animals and a few valuables.

Amateur video shot by a U-N soldier shows a pilotless Israeli
reconnaissance plane flying overhead.

A warm reception in Craig County helped ease the tension as cyclists made

The Tony Award nominations are out...
This morning at Sardi's restaurant in New York City the nominees for the
best in the 1995-1996 Broadway season were revealed.
The Pulitzer Prize winning "Rent" received ten nominations.
