Roanoke City Council will have a new look in July, when three new council
members take their seats.
Yesterday, Democrats expanded their majority on council. They won the
mayor's race and the four other seats
at stake in the election.

Tonight, Joe Dashiell reports, a change in the city's leadership does not
mean a change in the city's direction.
Jean, we have already had a democratic majority on council... and the
newcomers aren't predicting any major changes.
While one current councilman will be outnumbered, even he is optimistic
about the future.

It's believed to be that of Alicia Showalter Reynolds.

Learning how to deal with those situations is part of some police survival
training taking place this week in Appomattox County.

hour crime spree started in Campbell County and ended in Henrico County last

duty.. but that duty now includes helping other police officers learn from his
