A convicted axe murderer is on his way to prison.

William Ray Lindsey was charged with first- degree murder, which could have
sent him to prison for life.
Monday he pled guilty to SECOND- degree murder.
The judge ordered him to serve seven years of a 20- year sentence.
Last September, Lindsey struck Jabe Ferguson in the head with an axe at
Rural Retreat Campground, then fled to Tennessee with his companion, Kerri Ann
Koehler.
Koehler was also charged with murder for allegedly helping to conceal the
crime, but earlier this year a judge dismissed the charge against her for lack
of evidence.

of a missing Baltimore woman, was discovered yesterday.

A neighbor found the body in this remote area of Lignum, east of
Culpeper.
Officials say jewelry and other items found on the body resemble what
Alicia (Ah-LEES-ee-ah) Showalter Reynolds was wearing when she disappeared two
months ago.
She was last seen stopped along U-S Route 29. Other drivers have come
forward to say a man has been seen in the same area trying to get women to pull
their cars over.
Late word today that an autopsy has confirmed the body discovered was that
of Alicia Showalter Reynolds.

Again the riders had to deal with rain as they began this morning at 11.
But by the time they rolled into the Carolina mountains the skies and the
pavement had cleared somewhat.
That set the stage for an uphill sprint to the top of Beech Mountain.
Armstrong would give it his best but he finished second less than minute
behind team Festina rider Pascal Herve.
