killed 25-year old Alicia Showalter Reynolds.

The Baltimore doctoral student was abducted two months ago on a highway in
Culpeper County-- apparently by a man posing as a Good Samaritan.
Her body was found last week.
Police say they have a good composite drawing of the suspect.
They say he made contact with numerous women who were driving on Route 29.

Authorities are investigating a fire that gutted a Lynchburg trailer home
late last night.

The blaze at 2-07 Terry Court was reported at about 11.
Crews arrived to find the building engulfed in flames... it took them about
fifteen minutes to bring the fire under control.
A man living in the trailer was not home when the blaze broke out.
A neighbor was treated for smoke inhalation.

to Roanoke's Rescue Mission last night.

It was confined to one room with eight beds-- but other parts of the
building suffered smoke and water damage.
The shelter was closed last night-- and that helped bring as many as 50
