((It's heavy lifting day at the crash site. Searchers have spent nearly a week marking where all the big parts are sumerged. Today they hauled them out and told reporters, these are important items.

It was tough, risky work, but it went smoothly. The pieces will be decontaminated, taken to a hanger and examined. Now searchers have shifted their focus. They're looking further to the south of the spot where they pulled-out all those heavy items.

Another priority is--of course--finding the plane s voice recorder. A lot of speculation regarding the crash centers on the oxygen generators that the plane may not have have been authorized to carry.

His strong showing that weekend, and some encouraging test runs at Charlotte last week have given Compton a boost of confidence and additional sponsorship money.
Compton will have at least seven different sponsors on the car this Saturday night including Lynchburg and Minneapolis based paint giant James T. Davis.

The Indians had no comment on the ruling.
Also, Dave Justice has been placed on the 15-day disabled list by the Braves with a dislocated right shoulder.
The right fielder could miss the rest of the season if he needs surgery.
A decision on whether or not to operate will be made tomorrow. If not, he'll miss at least four weeks of action.
