neighborhoods.

A corporate jet returned to the Roanoke Regional Airport on one engine this
morning after a generator failed.
The twin engine airplane was about 50 miles northeast of Roanoke on its way
to Washington National Airport when the pilot reported the problem.
He shut down the left engine, returned to the airport and landed safely
shortly before eight o'clock.

Oxygen canisters that were being transported by the jet are being closely

Former Congressman Dan Rostenkowski has lost his political
power and could lose his freedom--
now comes word that he has prostate cancer.
Two Chicago papers report the diagnosis has resulted in a temporary
postponement of his 17 month prison sentence for mail fraud.
There's no word on how serious the cancer is at this stage.
Rostenkowski chaired the powerful House Ways and Means Committee before
being indicted in May 19-94.

There's a new variety of boards, cushions, slings, covers, and trays
all designed to improve the total well-being of patients.
Here's Velmer Hardy sitting in her OLD wheelchair-- she naturally leans--
putting all her weight on one hip.
Her feet are banged by the wheels, and the arm rests are too high for her.
Plus, the naugahyde backing of the chair is bowing, causing her head to hang--
she's basically swamped by the chair.
But the new equipment offers back support, better positioning and padding--
to diminish the effect on pressure points.
