Good Evening this is NEWS-7 at Five, I'm Jean Jadhon--
The Medicare Trustees released its annual report today.
It says money will run out in 2001.

growth more than the President wants.
The Allen Administration is acting quickly to stop state provided insurance
from paying for workers abortions.
A new policy's been drawn up to prevent state workers who have abortions
from getting them covered under the Key Advantage Health Care plan.
Ellen Qualls is in our Richmond newsroom.
How did this issue come up?
Well there's allegedly NO secret to the timing, Jean.
Administration officials say they simply didn't know that 452 abortions for
state workers or their families were covered by insurance last year.

So Planned Parenthood would like to see more done in terms of providing
contraception to prevent unintended pregnancies and therefore abortions.
