After months, even years of consideration, the Montgomery County Board of
Supervisors made way for the Smart Road project.
It voted last night to allow the state to build the high tech road through
an agricultural district.
The Commonwealth must now approve the road design.
Then it has to buy land.
After that, the project goes out to bid.
If all goes as planned, a groundbreaking COULD take place early next year.
But the Department of Transportation says that's far from definite.
