In Orlando it was an emergency landing for the crew and passengers aboard a commuter plane this morning.
The pilot said he was having problems with his landing gear.

One year ago, heavy rains brought extensive flooding in our viewing areas.

Rising waters threatened homes, and caused evacuations.
In some areas rain fell at the rate of three inches per hour.
Governor Allen declared a state of emergency for most of Virginia.
Rockbridge County was one of the most hard hit areas.
For some families life is just getting back to normal.
Last year we introduced you to two elderly couples who needed to rebuild a bridge connecting their homes to a state road.
The bridge has been replaced.
But as Denise Allen tells us even though the river may have receded, the waters are still troubled.

The Ramsey's attorney says the trouble started before the flood.
He says this suit concerns well water rights and property right-of-way.
The Halls, with the help of three other property owners have put in this one lane bridge.
The Ramseys' attorney says his clients have been unable to build a bridge of their own.

The green flag dropped with Bobby hamilton on the pole, the first time since 1979 the STP Pontiac has started first.
Not a good afternoon for Michael Waltrip and the Wood Brothers Ford. He would finish 32nd. Many eyes were on the driver who started 32nd, Ernie Irvan, who was racing at Michigan for the first time since his near fatal crash 2 years ago. But Ernie and the Havoline Thunderbird moved to 2nd place by lap 107!!!
There were only 2 cautions on the day and the race came down to the final 12 laps and who was willing to gamble with fuel. Sterling Marlin came in for a half a can,
Then the leader, Jeff Gordon pitted for fuel only and would give up the lead he finished 6th.
Earnhardt, who was in fifth, also came in for fuel and would lose some positions. Dale finished 9th.
But Wallace and crew chief Robin Pimperton rolled the dice and won, Wallace did not pit and wins his 3rd Michigan 400 and now has 44 career victories.

Finally, John Cook came within 1 stroke of the all-time PGA scoring record today as he cruised to the title at the St. Jude's Classic in Memphis.

Cook fired a 72-hole total of 26 under 258 for a 7 stroke win at the 1.35 million dollar classic. That was the second lowest score in PGA history.
He had a chance at tying the record on his third shot on the par 4 18, but his shot rolled out.
Cook earned 243 grand for his efforts.
