It was two years ago that Paula Jones accused President Clinton of sexual
harrassment. But she'll have to wait even longer to have her day in court.
The Sexual Harrassment suit against President Clinton is on hold- until
after the November election. The Supreme Court made that decision today.
In the meantime the justices will review whether a president should face
civil court action while in office.
Jones has claimed the President propositioned her while he was Governor of

The recent death of a Roanoke woman has some experts wondering if Virginia's
stalking laws are effective.
This past weekend police say 23-year old Robin Williams was stalked by her
ex-boyfriend Aquilia Barnette and shot to death on the streets of Roanoke.
Experts say even though the stalking law is helpful it could be stronger.

She says all calls are anonymous and services are free.
A Carroll County teenager has pled no contest to charges of murdering his
father and critically wounding his stepmother.

Jean, at age 17, Chris Gammon faces a possible THREE life terms in prison.
First charged with CAPITAL murder, he pled no contest to first degree

gunning down their father and stepmother in October of 1994.
Chris's lawyers promise to present a string of witnesses at his sentencing
hearing who will testify that Gary Gammon mistreated his children.
Among them will be Gary's oldest son and namesake, who says his younger
brothers shouldn't be blamed.

JEAN QUESTION: Where do things stand with Willie Gammon's case?
For the first time in Virginia history, corrections officers are packing
pellets -- and blasting inmates with them.
The maximum security Powhatan Correctional Center was the scene Friday of
the first pellet blast.
A shell with 40 rubber pellets was fired from a so-called "stinger gun" at
three inmates who were attacking another prisoner.
Corrections officials say the shells are NOT lethal.

Actor Robert Downey Junior is free today after he was arrested on drug and
weapons charges yesterday.
Downey won an Oscar nomination for his starring role in the movie "Chaplin."
Sheriff's deputies say they stopped him for driving 20 miles over the speed
They found rock and powder cocaine, tar heroin and a concealed revolver.
Police charged Downey with possession of a concealed weapon, possession of a
controlled substance and drunk driving.

Researchers are also studying
a chemical in tomatoes called Lycopene. Recently eating plenty of
Lycopene was found to protect men against prostate cancer.
They're considering using tomato-based products not only in snack foods,

When the Carsello family found the ducks they called a wildlife sanctuary.
They were told the tree ducks are federally protected. Moving them is

Governor Allen kicked off the second week of his statewide tour with a trip
to the Southside.

Keith Humphry joins us from our newsroom with the story.
Jean, this is the second time Governor Allen has made his way around the
state in an R-V.
Today the "Listening Tour" as it's called-- made several stops including
Danville Community College.
The Governor fielded a variety of questions from students there, ranging
from education to jobs.
The Governor also handed over a 400- thousand dollar check to Pittsylvania

The money will be used to upgrade several homes and streets in the area.
