Aquilia Barnett was arrested yesterday at his mother's home in Charlotte,
North Carolina.
Barnett is accused in the shooting death of his former girlfriend- 23-year
old Robin A. Williams early Saturday morning.
Police believe Barnette had apparently stalked Williams for weeks before
shooting her.

The truck was carrying produce and careened over the guard rail for at least
100 yards before it turned over.

The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured, but police say charges
could be pending.

A federal judge has blocked the state from denying welfare benefits to two
southwest Virginia women who challenged a new law that requires them to name
the fathers of their children before they can receive benefits.
U-S District Judge James Michael said the policy appears to be
unconstitutional because it penalizes the children of women who cooperate but
who truly don't know who the fathers of their children are.
