A Roanoke man is behind bars... accused of robbing a fast food restaurant at gunpoint and locking five workers in a cooler.
Police have arrested 42- year- old Meredith Allen Davis in connection with last week's robbery at the Wendy's restaurant on Hershberger Road.
Wendy's employees told police the robber ran at them with a gun as they left the restaurant at 1 a-m, forcing them back inside and into the cooler.
Davis is being held in the Roanoke City Jail without bond.

Some of the animals were undernourished and infested with worms when authorities dropped them off at Tipton Ridge Veterinary Clinic for treatment.
Several puppies with parvo had to be put down.

Authorities still have not located Terry Weaver or Annette Jenkins, the former kennel operators charged with 31 counts each of cruelty to animals.
A judge has given them until next Friday to appeal the adoptions.
A 50 dollar donation to the Humane Society is required for each adoption.
