Last winter the Salem plant sent a bad batch of tires to the company.
It even got to the point that Costco demanded that Yokohama dismiss the people responsible for the mistake.
Yokohama didn't fire anyone, but rather took steps to solve the problem.

Dan Hunter, Yokohama's Vice President of Marketing said losing Price Costco was not a result of what Yokohama did or didn't do.
A notice Yokohama posted in the plant said Price Costco simply wanted to cut down on the number of its suppliers.
Employees say Yokohama currently has a seven million- tire- a- year- production.
Jim Hawk, the plant manager in Salem says the line will be phased out over the next year.
He also says there are NO plans for layoffs at least for now.

A grand jury in Smyth County has indicted a state trooper for reckless driving.
Trooper Michael Spangler was involved in a high speed chase that resulted in a fatal crash on Interstate 81 last September.
Special Prosecutor Gerald Gray says Spangler tried to pass a vehicle while in pursuit of a speeding motorist.
He hit a guardrail then struck the car he was trying to pass.
The driver, 59 year-old John Paul Shenk of Elkton was killed.
If convicted, Spangler could face up to 12 months in jail, a 25 hundred- dollar fine and have his license suspended.

Officials dedicated what's called the Frog Pond yesterday, and moments later the first swimmer hit the water.
The Frog Pond was built with insurance money collected after a valve rupture destroyed the old pool.
