It was just last Sunday when this same contract was brought before the union.
Members shot it down by two votes, with the key issues being mandatory overtime and the loss of seniority for some long- time workers.
In response to the proposal's rejection, Rubatex announced it would move more than one- third of its workforce to Colt, Arkansas.
That put employees in a frenzy... and union officials called the second vote.
Company officials say the layoffs are on the back burner for now... but refused to speculate on the future of the job cuts.

He was arraigned this morning in General District Court.
Wiley is charged with the murder of 22-year old Jerry Darnell Ferguson, the man who was shot and killed outside a Melrose Avenue motel on Thursday.
Today, a judge set bond at 17-thousand 500 dollars, citing Wiley's cooperation with police, his ties to the community, and his lack of a criminal record.

During the shooting Higgins' girlfriend, Brenda Tomlin, was severely wounded.

Higgins and Tomlin were in bed when Hewitt allegedly walked down the hallway and shot them both.

The Lynchburg region comes in around three-and-a-half percent.
Both communities have seen their unemployment numbers drop compared to the same period a year ago.
Statewide, unemployment in May went down to just a little over four- percent.
That's the lowest number in May in six years.

The Roanoke Stars under 15 soccer team is in Europe for three weeks of soccer games and tournaments.

The team has been training for over a month for the trip. The Stars will play in Munich Germany, Holland and in Denmark.
One of the highlights is playing in the largest youth tournament in the world which includes 800 teams from 47 countries.
