A Roanoke woman who killed her fiancee in May has pled guilty to voluntary manslaughter and will serve a ten- year prison term.
Joyce Ann Mohadess lived with Thomas Earl Spivey, Junior in a rooming house on Patterson Avenue.
Police originally reported she stabbed him because he owed her money.
In court today, the prosecutor indicated both Spivey and Mohadess were drinking and that Spivey had been physically abusing her.
Mohadess pled guilty, rather than take her chances with a jury trial. She'll spend at least eight and half years in prison.

When Darlynn Weaver checked in there for the annual religious Conference last summer, she was told she was due a 73-dollar refund.
She'd paid 214 dollars for four nights in advance, but they gave her 73-dollars back.
When she checked out, they said she OWED 73-dollars.
