and Prince Charles and Lady Di are heading down the aisle again - but this time
in divorce court.
The agreement was announced today.
The issue of gay marriages comes up for a vote today in the House.
The bill would create the first federal definition of marriage -- making it
a union between one man and one woman.
It also would deny federal recognition of same-sex marriages
sanctioned by states.
There appears to be no more debate on the fate of a royal marriage.
After months of deadlock Prince Charles and Princess Diana have agreed on a
divorce settlement, ending 15 years of marriage.
Buckingham Palace made the formal announcement today.
Lawyers for the Prince and Princess say the divorce will be made final
Under terms of the deal, Diana will receive a lump sum payment that British
papers put as high as 26- million.
The royal couple has been separated since 19-92.
And coming up Patrick Evans gives us a look at Daylilies on this week's
edition of Growin' It.
Stay tuned for that, plus an update on Hurricane Bertha.
The Daylillies are in bloom, but not for long!
Local growers are tending their daylilly crop during the summer season.
Daylillies produce flowers that last for only one day, hence the name.
Different varieties bloom at different times, so you can actually have
daylillies all summer.
While very durable, the flowers do require a modicum of care to ensure each
plant will produce to its maximum potential.
