A 15- year- old boy died this morning after being electrocuted in Botetourt
It happened around 10 o'clock.
A group of kids was apparently on a boat on the James River when they went
ashore near the James River Limestone Plant.
Officials believe the teenager was electrocuted when he got too close to an
Rescue Squad personnel say the teen was from Wisconsin, visiting relatives
in the area.
Authorities believe the voltage was AT LEAST-- four to eight times greater
than your normal household levels.
Danville Police are looking into the death of a 23-year-old man.
Pierre (pea-AIR) Lamont Pritchett of Danville was found dead in the front
seat of a car around 11-45 last night.
The death was apparently related to a vehicle accident.
The car was found resting against a fence at the Market Garden Field-- in
the 500 block of Henry Street.
Police say Pritchett suffered head injuries and was pronounced dead at the

House Speaker Newt Gingrich was in Danville last night.
He was at a fundraiser to support George Landrith-- who is running for the

yesterday's senate debate brought the issue home to Hot Springs.
Candidates John and Mark Warner put on the boxing gloves and duked it out
over issues such as campaign spending, abortion, and of course balancing the

Tom Lehman didn't take any chances and his six shot lead at the start of
today's round held up as he became the first American pro to win the British
open at Royal Lytham and St. Annes course.
