At a preliminary hearing this morning, a police detective testified that Wiley gave a statement to authorities.
In it, Wiley said he shot Ferguson because he feared for his life.

A tornado's torn through the New Mexico town of Cimarron- demolishing some buildings and flipping several mobile homes.
Officials say some people are hurt in the town about 80 miles north of Santa-Fe.
The twister demolished part of a bank, post office and beauty salon. It also toppled power and telephone lines.
