two days after the Centennial park pipe bomb blew schrapnel into his right
leg.
Sobb estimates he was 25 yards from the explosion. he never heard any
warnings to evacuate.

Sobb is expected to be walking on his own soon and says he still
plans to attend the Olympic events this week.

That sentiment is shared by olympic visitors from all over the
world. People did not stay away from olympic venues--and the streets were
full.
But despite their defiance, there have been several bomb scares
Since Saturday... one near the main ticket office. No explosives were found.
At Centennial Park workers were busy trying to eliminate any
reminders of the murderous attack.. they filled in the hole left by the blast.
When the park reopens tuesday morning security will be tightened,
With double the officers and more surveillance cameras.
Meantime FBI investigators say they are confident the bomber will
be found. But say no arrest is imminent.

this afternoon citing health concerns.
Lasorda was hospitalized last month after complaining of abdominal pains.

Blacksburg high school rising senior Cara Prupas lost in qualifying to
former UVa number one Jennifer Callen. Even though she lost in straight sets,
her positive attitude remains intact.

Hundreds of plant lovers descended on London's (Cue) Kew Gardens today
hoping get a glimpse of the world's largest and smelliest flower.

The (Amor-fo-fallus Tie-tanum) Amor-phop-hallus Titanum is expected to bloom
later this week.
It is the first time this plant has flowered in England in more than 30
years.
The flower comes from the rain forests of Sumatra in Indonesia.
It is tricky to grow outside its natural habitat which is why its blooming
is generating such excitement.
The plant is not only famous for its enormous size, but also for its hideous
smell.
As it starts to unravel the flower lets off a truly awful smell that is
described as rotting garbage.
