A stabbing in Roanoke today-
in the Wasena area. An arguement erupted into a fight in the street.
Police say three people were hurt- one was taken to the hospital.
Police say they may have several potential suspects in the Olympic Park
Bombing- but so far no one's been arrested.

A stabbing in Roanoke leaves three people hurt- It is the second stabbing in
Roanoke in just a few days.
Police say it all started in the house of 4-11 Day Avenue.
Apparently three people got into an argument and someone pulled out a knife.
The fight then spilled out into the streets.
During the incident two people suffered minor injuries. One person was taken
to the hospital.

Police say the knife was more than ten inches long.
Authorities are still trying to sort out what happened.
The names and conditions of the victims have NOT been released.
Meanwhile the Roanoke stabbing victim who was killed yesterday recently told
his girlfriend about some nightmares he was having.
Michael Dent said he was dreaming about dying a violent death.
But his girlfriend never thought those bad dreams would be played out in
Yesterday Dent was fatally stabbed outside the Hurt Park housing complex,
where he lived almost his entire life.
Friends and family fondly remember the 20-year old as someone who kept out
of trouble, and liked to drive his car and play music.

Police say so far they don't believe drugs were involved.
The 17 year old accused of killing Dent appeared in court this morning.
ROBERT Reed of Detroit is being charged with murder and held without bond at
the Coyner Springs Detention Center in Botetourt County.
A major set-back today for Christy Brzonkala.
The former Virginia Tech student with a case against two Tech football
players got word today that a FEDERAL judge had dismissed her case.

two days after the Centennial park pipe bomb blew schrapnel into his right

A lawyer in Botetourt County was in Centennial Olympic Park this weekend
when the bomb exploded.
Steve Wills captured some of the events on his video camera.
Wills says he was no more than 300 yards away when the bomb went off.

Divers at the wreckage of TWA Flight 800 are looking for specific parts of

Investigators believe a piece of aluminum lining could offer some answers
as to why the plane exploded. The aluminum is found in main cabin. It
could prove a theory that the plane was destroyed by a bomb.
Divers must be careful when removing the wreckage until they are sure no

FBI agents confiscated weapons, a computer and other items during the
The family of the teenager who was electrocuted is seeking one million
dollars in damages.
That's according to the family's attorney.

Rescue workers said 15-year old Eric Bowden of Wisconsin was electrocuted on
the banks of the James River in Botetourt County after he came in contact with

The proposed TransAmerica corridor is still very much in the preliminary
planning stages, but it took one step closer to becoming a reality today.
Congressman Bob Goodlatte today announced that 400-thousand dollars has been
set aside to study the route I-66 would take through Virginia.
Goodlatte had lobbied hard for the corridor to run through Lynchburg and
central Virginia, which does "not" have an interstate highway of its own.
Funding and construction could still be decades away.

Dodger skipper Tommy Lasorda announced his retirement in a news conference
this afternoon citing health concerns.
Lasorda was hospitalized last month after complaining of abdominal pains.

Hundreds of plant lovers descended on London's (Cue) Kew Gardens today
