Three people are injured following a stabbing in Roanoke.
This is the second one in the city in some 24 hours.

The fight then spilled out into the streets.
During the incident two people suffered minor injuries.

Having already thrown out the case against Tech, Kiser has now taken the unusual step of declaring the Violence Against Women Act to be UNconstitutional.

An explosion at B-B-A Friction Plant in Dublin has injured one worker.
It happened about 4:30 this morning.
Firemen believe spark from static electricity while the worker was mixing chemicals caused the explosion.
The worker was taken to Radford Community Hospital with second and third degree burns on his face, chest and arms.
His name and condition has not been released.
No major damage to the plant is reported.

Attorney Tim Kaine said the state had Lem Tuggle evaluated by a psychiatrist without notifying the defense.
Kaine said the trial judge erred in denying Tuggle's request for an evaluation by a psychiatrist of his choosing.
Tuggle is the lone survivor of the six inmates who staged the biggest death row breakout in U-S history.
He was convicted of the 1983 rape and killing of Jessie Havens in Smyth County.

A handwritten confession could send a 19-year old Pittsylvania County man to prison for life.

The letter was among the evidence presented yesterday against Paul Michael Dalton, Junior.
He's on trial for killing 72-year old Clark Aubrey Adkins.
Prosecutors allege Dalton killed for money.
Dalton's attorney says his client helped bury the body, but maintains Dalton did NOT shoot the man.
According to testimony, Dalton's sister was involved with the elderly victim, but also had a boyfriend.
The defense wants the jury to believe Dalton signed the confession to protect the couple.
However, several witness testified Dalton verbally confessed to the crime.
Trial is expected to last several days.
