The suspect in a multiple murder case in Vinton appeared before a South
Carolina magistrate late this afternoon.
Earl Bramblett was arrested in Spartanburg yesterday charged with capitol
murder and has been denied bond for now.

A manhunt in Lynchburg was called off this afternoon after the alleged
triggerman in a shooting incident turned out to be the victim's mother.
41- year- old Emma Jean Davis was arrested and led away in handcuffs after
police charged her with shooting her own daughter inside their Augusta Avenue
home around 10 this morning.
Tara Kim was taken to Lynchburg General Hospital, suffering from multiple
The first 9-1-1 call police received described the incident as a shooting
that took place during a burglary, and police at first were searching for a
supposed gunman that had fled the scene.

At last check, Kim was in emergency surgery for her gunshot wounds.
Federal investigators in Atlanta spent the day searching a security
FBI agents went in and out Richard Jewell's apartment this afternoon-
looking for evidence that could connect him to the Olympic Park bombing- or
clear him of suspicion.
Jewell's pickup truck was also towed away.
But Authorities continue to stress that the 33 year old Jewell has not been

Saturday's bombing killed one woman and injured eleven others- A
journalist also died after suffering a heart attack on his way to the scene.
Jewell reportedly has ties to Danville.
The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports the 33-year old was born in
Danville in 1962.
According to the paper, Jewell moved to Atlanta in 1969.
The only other information given was that his mother's name is Barbara and
his father is deceased.
Rough seas are limiting the search today at the T-W-A crash scene off New

Crews have pulled some wreckage but divers are limited in the big waves, and
small boats have suspended work.

Meanwhile in France, funeral services were held for five members of a
family- all killed in the crash.

Family and friends gathered at a memorial in Florida- for the unidentified
victims of the Valujet Crash.
110 people died in the crash in May- but only 61 were identified.
The unidentified remains were sorted into 49 caskets, each with a single
rose on top.
The funeral service was held to assist the family members in their
grieving process and to bring closure to the tragedy.

Experts say the mammal population effects the tick population most.
