After nearly two years Earl Bramblett is back in the Roanoke Valley--accused in the murders of a Vinton family of four.

The 54-year old suspect has lived in Spartanburg for most of the past two years.
Police have now confirmed Bramblett has been their principle suspect from the beginning- -

from the day they discovered the bodies of a family of four in their burned out home on East Virginia Avenue.
Bramblett was a friend of the victims, and had practically lived with Blaine and Teresa Hodges and their two girls.

And while the F-B-I still appears to be very interested in Jewell as a potential bombing suspect, sources say so far nothing has been found that would link him to Saturday's deadly attack.
FBI Director Louis Freeh, testifying before a Senate committee, said sometimes suspects are brought forward and let go --it's just part of the investigative process.

The latest News 7 Mason Dixon poll shows that when it comes to the issues of the economy, character, and a balanced budget President Clinton is not faring all that well with Virginia voters.

58-percent of those polled say they are concerned about the future of the economy and their own financial future.
38-percent think the economy is doing well.
4-percent are undecided.
When questioned about the significance of Whitewater-- 55- percent say the investigation has raised serious questions about the integrity of the President, 34-percent believe it has been a witch hunt and 11 percent are not sure.
Virginia voters did favor Clinton's views on preserving medicare. 51-percent said medicare is a vital program and should be preserved even if it means increasing taxes. 42-percent said medicare should be reformed even if benefits were reduced.
