on-the-job accident that injured him three years ago.

Trooper C-D Jessee was hit by a flatbed truck on Interstate 81, while
trying to help a motorist who's car was stuck on a median in snow and ice.
The jury decided Larry Weeks, the driver of the truck was negligent.
Jessee spent more than a week in the hospital-- he was treated for
multiple broken ribs, a punctured lung and torn muscles.

He was also part of a Geophysical Expedition in Antarctica at the same time
the Mars meteorite was discovered.
That was 12 years ago.
